  • In EchoMention, open Channels, choose Discord and paste the webhook URL.
  • Send a test message, then pick the digest hour.

Good for

  • Open-source and developer tools whose maintainers live in Discord.
  • Community managers who want to answer Hacker News and Reddit threads quickly.
  • Small teams that do not use Slack.

What a Discord digest looks like

Once a day, at the hour you choose, the webhook posts a message with the new mentions grouped by keyword. Each mention shows its source (Hacker News, Bluesky, YouTube, news, Reddit via web search and so on), its sentiment and a link to the original. The number of negative mentions is shown at the top, so maintainers can see at a glance whether something needs an answer.

Tips for community teams

  • Create a dedicated channel such as #mentions so the digest does not bury chat.
  • Add your project's repository path and package name as terms to catch technical discussions.
  • On Business, turn on instant negative alerts to hear about bug reports and complaints within about 30 minutes.
  • Combine with an e-mail digest for people who are not on Discord.
