Monitor Reddit mentions of your brand

Reddit threads rank in Google for years and are where people ask for recommendations. EchoMention finds new Reddit threads that mention your keywords through a web search index, so it keeps working as Reddit closes its public API.

How Reddit monitoring works

  • The Web search source queries the Brave Search API with your keywords and site:reddit.com.
  • Only results that actually contain one of your terms, and none of your exclusions, become mentions.
  • The same source can watch other sites: add trustpilot.com, g2.com or producthunt.com as extra sites.

What it is not

This is not real-time Reddit monitoring. A thread shows up once the search index has picked it up, usually within a day. EchoMention also has a direct Reddit API source, but it is limited: Reddit is closing its public API by March 2027 and new API apps need Reddit's approval. For minute-level Reddit alerts, see F5Bot.

Frequently asked questions

How does Reddit monitoring work?

Through the Web search source (Pro and Business): EchoMention queries the Brave Search index with site:reddit.com, so it does not depend on Reddit's API, which Reddit is closing by March 2027. New threads usually appear once the index has picked them up, typically within a day, so it is not real-time.

Can I limit monitoring to certain subreddits?

The direct Reddit source can be limited to subreddits while Reddit's API is available to us. The web search source covers all of reddit.com.

Which plan includes Reddit?

Pro ($19/month) and Business ($39/month), through the Web search source.

Can I monitor review sites the same way?

Yes. Add any hostname to the Web search source, e.g. trustpilot.com or g2.com.
